What it does

Every stop. One workable plan.

Route planning

The drive is only part of the plan.

A quick pickup, a longer customer visit, an errand across town. Radar Route considers driving, time at each stop, and waiting together to find an efficient order for the whole outing.

  • Plan beyond the next destination. Review driving time, distance, and available finish estimates before you set off.
  • Keep the order that matters. Set a first or last visit, or make one follow another, with flexible errands around them.
  • Finish where you choose. Return to your starting point, end at the last stop, or pick another place.

Visit timing

Plan around your commitments.

An appointment sets the arrival time. A customer visit needs an hour. A pickup has to happen after another stop. Put those needs into the plan so the route can account for them together.

  • Time for each visit. Add a duration and optional Arrive by, Start after, or Leave by times.
  • Know when to set off. Get an estimated leave-by time when your stop requirements create a departure deadline. Optional departure reminders use the last checked estimates.
  • Adjust with the full day in view. If requirements no longer fit, review proposed changes before applying them.

Your destinations

Get your stops in faster.

Bring together places you know and ones you need to find. Search Apple Maps, choose from saved or recent places, or use an address from Contacts when you enable access.

  • Add familiar stops together. Select several saved places in one go.
  • Start with a list of addresses. Paste one per line, review each match, then add the confirmed destinations.
  • Keep details with the visit. Add notes and adjust how long you expect to stay.

Search Along Route

Find a stop that fits the drive.

Need coffee or fuel between visits? Search along a driving leg and compare suggestions by the driving time they add, so you can judge the detour before adding a stop.

  • Search along the roads ahead. Choose a leg of your route and look for the kind of place you need.
  • Review the whole effect. Add time for the visit and check it against the remaining stops and their requirements.
  • Keep control of the plan. Review the proposed addition before you confirm it, while preserving progress already made.

On the road

Keep the next visit in sight.

Your itinerary stays in Radar Route while Apple Maps handles driving directions. Follow progress along a leg you start, record your arrival, and complete the visit when the errand is done.

  • Directions when you need them. Open the next destination in Apple Maps, or track a leg without opening navigation.
  • Arrival and completion stay separate. Location-based arrival detection can record when you arrive; you mark the visit complete.
  • Stay in control. Mark arrival yourself when needed and recalculate remaining stops as your day changes.

Saved plans

Plan it once. Use it again.

Keep a regular round of visits ready for another day. Reusing a saved plan creates a separate outing with fresh estimates and progress, while the original stays ready for next time.

  • Keep the useful details. Save stops, visit durations, timing and order requirements, and notes.
  • Pass the plan along. Share a plan file with another Radar Route user and choose whether to include notes.
  • A fresh start for every outing. Shared plans leave out your progress and driving estimates.

How it works

From your first stop to your last.

Step 01

Choose your stops

Choose your starting point and destinations. Add the time each visit needs, any arrival or departure deadlines, and where you want to finish.

Step 02

Review the whole outing

See the proposed order, driving estimates, and any waiting. If requirements cannot all be met, review adjustments before changing the plan.

Step 03

Start when you are ready

Start the outing, open directions to the next stop in Apple Maps, and confirm visits as you go. Recalculate the remaining stops when your day changes.

Questions

Good to know.

Radar Route is an iPhone app in development for planning driving routes with multiple stops. It brings errands, appointments, and customer visits into one plan, including visit durations, timing requirements, and where you want to finish.
You can enter Arrive by, Start after, and Leave by times for each visit. Check opening hours yourself; Radar Route does not automatically look up business hours. Travel and departure times are estimates, so allow for parking and delays.
Radar Route plans the outing and tracks stop progress. Turn-by-turn driving directions open in Apple Maps. Plans and saved places are stored on your iPhone, but Maps search, place details, and driving estimates need an internet connection.
Radar Route is being developed for iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Release timing, pricing, and a public download link are not yet confirmed.
